The Gaia 11 kW turbine has recently been introduced to the American market and it has created quite a stir. The turbine's swept area is four times larger than what it needs to be. Think of it as a sail on a ship, the larger the sails the faster a ship can go at lower wind speeds. This is the same effect, the Gaia 11 kW will have the same production if not more than the Jacobs 31-20.
This turbine is a great size for farms, businesses and large homes with electric heat. It has a long track record in Europe and we are pleased that is now available here.
