Energy Audits

We offer three different levels of energy audits:

1) Walk Though Audit*: This is the most basic audit that we offer. During this audit we inspect the insulation and basic structure of the home, we identify the obvious energy issues and make recommendations for improvements.

2) Blower Door Audit*: This audit includes the same inspection as the walk-though audit but we then use a blower door to amplify the air leaks and identify the areas that need air sealing.

3) IR Camera Audit*: The IR camera audit is the most thorough of all the audits that we offer. It includes both of the previous audits and then we use an IR camera to “look” into the walls to identify insulation problems. It will also help identify other energy hogs in the home.

*CAZ Test: In addition, we also perform a combustion air zone (CAZ) test on any home with gas appliances. This test checks the gas appliances in a home and verifies that they are vented correctly and are not leaking carbon monoxide into your home.

After the audit you will receive a ten to twenty page report that informs you on all the different aspects of the condition of your home and how your energy usage can be improved. Customers that follow the recommendations that are in the report have reported seeing 25-50 % reduction in energy usage.
